We’re probably most well-known for crash testing vehicles and issuing safety ratings, and our new website, IIHS-HLDI in the Classroom, is designed to apply physics and biology concepts to understanding what’s happening in a car crash and why some vehicles are safer than others.

The completely free site features videos and hands-on activities developed with the University of Florida College of Education and educator Griff Jones, Ph.D. The materials are a great way to augment lessons on things like energy, inertia, impulse, and momentum.
