Empower{MN:CS} is a professional development opportunity designed to empower K-12 educators by providing them with the guidance, support, and resources they need to ignite student passions for computing. During this learning experience, educators will collaborate with others to help Minnesota gain much-needed ground in ensuring students receive equitable computing education.

This year, participants will choose a workshop that best aligns with their personal goals and interests. These workshops cover a variety of topics in computer science and are designed for K-12 educators with a variety of experience teaching computer science. You will also better understand how to support student access to and participation in computer science opportunities. The cost for each participant will be $50. Travel scholarships may be available for educators not local to the Twin Cities.

This unique in-person experience is designed to provide K-12 educators with the guidance, support, and resources they need to create a computer science pathway for students in their school districts. At this event, you will have the opportunity to network with other educators from your district and across the state. The goal for this week is to provide a comprehensive professional development experience that will help Minnesota gain much-needed ground in ensuring students receive equitable computer science education.
