The Fields of STEM Professional Learning Cohort is a year-long initiative that empowers educators by bringing together the collective expertise of the cohort, alongside the latest research, to improve K-12 STEM education and workforce development at both local and global levels. Who Should Apply?
High School science and CTE teachers in Biology, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Anatomy/Physiology, STEM, and Food Science.

What You'll Gain
- Professional learning experiences directly related to your agriculture and/or STEM content that strengthen your resume and provide building blocks for leadership
- Conference and Professional Learning Institute registration and a travel stipend to NSTA’s 2025 Fall National Conference in Minneapolis, MN
- A year-long NSTA membership, including a virtual cohort space, registration for NSTA web seminars and NSTA resource e-book(s)
- Mentorship from NSTA Professional Learning experts
- A certificate of completion that can be used as clock hours or CEUs in most states

What You'll Do
- Participate in community engagement tasks through online forums with fellow Fields of STEM cohort members and NSTA Professional Learning experts.
- Attend 3 NSTA web seminar series
- Complete 3 Professional Learning Units (PLUs)
- Attend the 2025 NSTA Fall Conference in Minneapolis, with the opportunity to present sessions based on your experiences in the cohort and implementing HQIM in your classroom.

The cohort will require an estimated 5-10 hours per month through December 2025.
