Join us on Saturday Jan. 11th at 1:00pm.  Bob King will be presenting “Understanding, Forecasting and Photographing the Northern Lights”

 

Synopsis:  "We'll look at what causes the aurora, how to get alerts so you don't miss a great show and easy ways to photograph them...”

Bob King is a fellow MAS member and is well known to many amateur astronomers thru his "AstroBob" blog.  He is one of the more prolific observers and commentators in amateur astronomy today. He loves comets and also enjoys viewing the Northern Lights from his home near Duluth. He writes about astronomy for Sky & Telescope magazine, and the Duluth News Tribune.
