The Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD) has developed a virtual tour of the wastewater treatment plant in Duluth, MN! It is interactive (360 degree images, videos, and more) and enables students to go through and learn about the wastewater treatment process at their own pace.
You can find the tour, information about in-person visits, teacher PD, and classroom activities here!
In addition, they are working to develop more lessons/activities related to clean water and the wastewater treatment process that align to MN science standards (and NGSS).
