FORSE - A resource for Minnesota Classrooms

by Kristin Caquelin, posted on 10:36 AM, July 12, 2024
FORSE is a ground-breaking program that works to close opportunity gaps and increase diversity in all Minnesota science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. How? By opening doors for students from populations that are underrepresented in STEM careers. FORSE brings scientists and students together for hands-on STEM learning experiences, helping young people from diverse backgrounds envision a future for themselves in STEM.

How does FORSE work?

FORSE partners with schools, summer programs, and other educational programs (“educational partners”) and responds to their unique needs and STEM education goals. With the help of our sponsors and community partners, MN Academy of Science connects young people from diverse backgrounds and their teachers with mentors, STEM tutoring, enrichment and career pathway videos by STEM professionals, and STEM curriculum. We also support coding clubs, facilitate our popular “STEM play days” and more!
