We are looking for input from Minnesota science teachers who are interested in helping to create a curriculum that brings together the geology of northern Minnesota and the current state Earth science standards in a way that benefits both students and teachers.

"Hello,

Members of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Earth & Environmental Sciences Department are working on an educational geologic trail with the goal of teaching the public and students within Minnesota about the unique geology located within our state. We are looking for input from Minnesota science teachers who are interested in helping to create a curriculum that brings together the geology of northern Minnesota and the current state Earth science standards in a way that benefits both students and teachers. Teacher participation involves a 2-3 day workshop in Fall 2024 and follow-up conversations about the developed curriculum. The anticipated work time commitment for the workshop consists of one 8 hour day and one 4 hour day. The post-workshop time commitment consists of 1-2 hours for reflection/feedback on the curriculum. If this is the sort of project you might want to be a part of, please fill out the form that is linked below.
