You’re invited to join the Minnesota Academy of Science for a return to our in-person Science Salon on Saturday, September 30th, at the Trylon Theater!
Christian Hanson, a simulation engineer from Mayo Clinic's Anatomic Modeling Unit, will take center stage to share his remarkable journey—from film special effects artist to the field of medical simulation engineering. Christian will showcase models of his creations and delve into the groundbreaking work in 3D printing at the anatomic modeling laboratories.
Following Christian’s presentation, we will present Roger Corman's iconic darkly humorous classic film, "A Bucket of Blood." This film presents an intriguing narrative where an artist attains fame through unconventional sculptures, prompting a reflection on the interplay between science, art, and morality.
