Share in the joys and wonders of the deep skies across Minnesota during the Bell Museum’s fourth annual Statewide Star Party August 10-12, 2023. This year’s theme, “Astronomy for All” is designed to empower the astronomer within all of us. Visitors of all ages, all abilities, and all perspectives are invited across the state to experience our shared skies.
Virtual Kick-Off
The event begins with a virtual kick-off on August 10, 6–7pm for a live conversation with Vince Diaz, Chair of the Department of American Indian Studies at the University of Minnesota and Jim Rock, Director of Indigenous Programming at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Moderated by Gaagige Aanakwadikwe, Bell Museum Native American Initiatives Education Specialist.

The party continues in-person at the Bell Museum August 11, 9:30–11pm with telescope views and hands-on activities. Complete the Summer Sky Scavenger Hunt, check out the Ruth & John Huss Observation Deck for guided observations, and make your contribution to our community art piece.
