- The sole purpose of the Compass is to provide parents, teachers and other educators a way to lead the hearts and minds of children and adults back into nature. The Compass to Nature is free for anyone to use.
- The Compass to Nature adopts the basic principles of place-based education: examine your own back yard, school yard, natural area, and provide relevance to the learner.
