From Sea Grant Center for Great Lakes Literacy:
Take a deep dive with Sea Grant this summer and investigate maritime underwater shipwrecks and how aquatic invasive species impact water quality, the food web, and shipwrecks over a two day workshop series. Take in one or both workshops. They present an excellent program for novice and seasoned educators alike, and are open to any formal, non-formal, informal educator, student, researcher, or community scientist in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
This workshop series is free, but registration is required so a Zoom link can be sent.
When are the sessions?
Day 1: 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021
Guest speaker Tamara Thomsen, maritime archaeologist, will present on Great Lakes shipwrecks.
Day 2: 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2021
Guest speaker Ashley Elgin, benthic ecologist, will present on zebra mussels.
