Hamline University's Center for Global Environmental Education (CGEE) is pleased to offer teachers a suite of free, award-winning online resources about America's greatest waterway for students in grades 4-8. Our acclaimed Waters to the Sea® Mississippi River Adventure provides standards-based, in-depth multimedia learning in a Story Map format that supports learners as they take a deep dive into STEAM, history, geography, and cultural explorations about the great river. The hour-long Mighty Mississippi electronic field trip and broadcast documentary, co-produced with PBS affiliate WYES New Orleans, introduces science and social-studies topics illuminated by experts and guided by a group of student reporters. The two resources are designed to reinforce and complement each other.
