Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics - Inaugural Public Lecture: The Birth of the Universe from the Bottom of the World

The Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics is hosting its inaugural public lecture in collaboration with the Bell Museum's "Eyes on the Universe" exhibit. Professor Clem Pryke will guide participants through the current state of knowledge, from the discovery of cosmic expansion to dark matter and dark energy, and back in cosmic time to the first instant of the Big Bang. Pryke's lecture will be followed by a Q&A session, plus free viewing of "Eyes on the Universe." Oct. 30, 7 p.m., Bell Museum.
